Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a part-time housekeeper to help maintain our affordable housing communities, with a 24-hour work week spread over 3 to 4 days.

You will vacuum and mop hallways and public areas, dust fixtures, clean restrooms, collect trash, polish surfaces, and assist in preparing units for new residents while keeping residents and staff safe.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of housekeeping experience are required. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, community rooms, and other public areas.
• Dust furniture, baseboards, light fixtures, blinds, ceiling fans and any other object that may collect dust in hallways, community rooms, and other public areas.
• Clean all components of public restrooms, including floors, sinks, toilets and mirrors.
• Collect garbage from public trash receptacles.
• Polish hardwood and metal surfaces in all public areas.
• Clean windows in public areas.
• Assist in turning units by conducting a deep clean of the apartment unit in preparation for a new resident moving in.
• Report directly to property manager and handle delegated tasks.
• Be alert to emergencies, health and safety concerns and notify appropriate staff.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
