Job summary

Modus by PM Hotel Group in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a dependable Part-Time Maintenance Technician to keep the hotel safe, functional, and welcoming. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest requests, and tackle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks while supporting the engineering team.

Availability Mondays and Tuesdays 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. is essential to ensure consistent hotel operations and guest satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years maintenance experience preferred in hospitality or facilities.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability every Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry and general repair work.
• Troubleshoot and repair guestroom equipment and hotel fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, switches, outlets, and other components.
• Inspect hotel systems and report maintenance concerns early.
• Maintain tools, equipment and inventory of supplies.
• Communicate completed work and outstanding issues with the engineering team.
• Assist with seasonal and weather-related duties and safety procedures.
