Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Hospitality Management to teach courses focused on Hotel, Destination and Event Management at the Westshore Campus. This part-time position requires availability for day, evening, or weekend classes and involves preparing syllabi, materials, and assessments.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, evaluating student work, maintaining records, and coordinating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Proficient in related industry software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to respond effectively to community needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
• Prepares course materials such as syllabi, assignments and handouts.
• Evaluates and grades students’ work and examinations.
• Maintains attendance records, grades and deadlines.
• Be available to students for coaching.
• Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College related to teaching duties.
