Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH is seeking a Switchboard PBX Operator to staff the Main Lobby Information Desk and Telecommunication Office. This role serves as a vital contact point for patients, visitors, staff, and the public, ensuring clear communication and a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include answering calls, routing to departments, managing emergency alerts, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting multiple departments across the hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED required.
• 1 year hospital switchboard/communications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and directions to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Operate telecommunication systems to answer, assess, and route calls.
• Respond to and manage emergency requests and alarms.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in both the lobby and telecommunication office.
• Ensure confidentiality of all employee, physician, and patient information.
• Greet, direct, and assist visitors and patients at the Information Desk.
• Operate Spok Console Suite to provide information and directions.
• Act as an informational resource regarding all departments and services.
