Qualifications

• Knowledge of hospital food service operations and patient dietary guidelines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Experience with cash handling and daily cash reports.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to use email and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient and mobile meal trays according to diet guidelines and portions.
• Deliver patient trays to rooms and transport meals using approved procedures.
• Operate cash register and handle cash for cafeteria or retail areas.
• Perform cleaning duties in kitchen and cafeteria following sanitation procedures.
• Assist with catering events and daily specials, including setup and presentation.
• Prepare snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and meals per recipes and portions.
• Stock supplies in retail and kitchen areas and maintain proper presentation.
• Deliver and stock items to nursing units, lounges, and ER as needed.
• Monitor food temperatures and safe handling to prevent contamination.
