Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson is seeking a part-time Food Services Worker II to support our Cafeteria department on 6200 N La Cholla Blvd. Day Shift: 20 hours weekly; schedule to be determined and may include weekends and holidays.

The Food Services Worker II will prepare, assemble, and serve meals while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in a healthcare setting, ensuring timely delivery to patients, staff, and visitors and assisting with inventory and compliance with health

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in food service, cafeteria, or healthcare nutrition required.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care facilities preferred.
• Completion of a food service or hospitality training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve food per recipes and patient diets.
• Assemble meal trays and ensure accurate delivery per dietary restrictions.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation per regulations.
• Clean and sanitize prep areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Assist with inventory and restock supplies while monitoring quality.
• Handle cash register or payment processing if applicable.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, dietitians, and healthcare providers.
• Follow infection control protocols and PPE usage.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
