Job summary

Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the NEWT Team. This role offers a consistent weekend schedule, with two 12-hour daytime shifts each weekend.

As a NEWT RN, you will respond to triage calls, assess patient needs, provide nursing care in homes, and coordinate care with physicians, staff, and external vendors.

Required: Virginia RN license, at least two years of relevant nursing experience, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience (bedside, hospice, or related).
• Driver’s license, personal auto, and current auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage service calls.
• Make home visits to assess patient needs and provide nursing care.
• Perform nursing evaluations for admissions and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, and vendors.
