Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Hospice Physician for a part-time role in Tucson, AZ. You will join an interdisciplinary team and contribute to careful plans of care, comfort, and patient dignity in home settings.

Responsibilities include participating in meetings, handling admissions and recertifications, and providing clinical leadership on symptom management. Qualified MD/DO with AZ license and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Arizona license and DEA registration.
• Two years of recent, verifiable clinical experience.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as physician resource to hospice patients and an interdisciplinary group.
• Participate in every-other-week interdisciplinary meetings and care plan updates.
• Complete CTIs and Medicare hospice documentation per requirements.
• Oversee terminal illness care including pain and symptom management.
• Review medications and services for clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and hospice clinicians on care concerns.
• Act as attending physician when needed and provide hospice consultation visits.
• Participate in family meetings and provide compassionate communication.
• Prepare timely documentation, certifications, and orders.
• Engage in on-call rotation and respond to symptom management needs.
