Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo, TX is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical oversight, client assessments, and care planning for home health clients. The RN will conduct initial and ongoing assessments, develop plans of care, and ensure compliance with state regulations and agency standards.

Candidates must hold an active TX RN license, have strong assessment and documentation skills, reliable transportation, and be able to travel to client homes.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in TX.
• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• Home health, hospice, geriatric, or community health experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments.
• Develop, review, and update individualized plans of care.
• Perform client supervisory and wellness visits as required.
• Monitor client conditions and identify changes in health status.
• Communicate with clients, family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance and client satisfaction initiatives.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all agency policies, state regulations, and nursing standards.
• Provide recommendations regarding client care needs and service requirements.
