Job summary

Visiting Angels Amarillo is seeking a compassionate Part Time Caregiver to support seniors in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes across the Panhandle. You will assist with daily living activities with dignity and respect.

Ideal candidates have experience in home health or hospice care, memory care, and HIPAA basics; CPR/First Aid training is preferred. Join a team dedicated to quality of life and safe, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health or hospice care.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and vital sign assessment.
• Experience in memory care or Alzheimer's care settings.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health or behavior.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in client status.

Our office in Amarillo provides caregivers for the Panhandle area including Amarillo, Claude, Hereford, Dumas, Borger, Fritch, Canyon, Pampa , and many others.
