Job summary

Giving Home Health Care, LLC in Amarillo, TX seeks a compassionate RN or LPN to administer patient care per physician care plan in patients' homes. This 1099 contract role offers flexible shifts, from short visits to full 12‑hour stays, with a range of acuity levels.

You will collaborate with CNAs, HHAs, case managers and physicians, perform assessments, documentation, medication administration, wound care, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State or Compact License as RN or LPN.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB test and physical examination.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
• Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to patients' homes.
• Provide basic medical management up to end‑of‑life care.

Responsibilities

• Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
• Complete compliant documentation of the care provided.
• Manage and administer prescribed medication and therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Perform activities of daily living assistance.
• Monitor vitals and GI intake/output.
• Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
• Monitor for changes in patient condition and disease progression.
• Communicate with family, physicians, case managers and other prescribed individuals.
• Provide education and training to patient, family and HHA.
• Work one‑on‑one in the patient’s home to ensure comfort.
• Collaborate with and supervise CNAs and PCAs.
• Perform other personal care services as needed.
