Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home health team. In this full-time role, you will provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT and document visits according to guidelines, helping patients regain independence at home.

You will collaborate with the care team, promote wellness, and support family caregivers while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take or have completed the NBCOT entry-level exam.
• At least 1 year OTA experience; mentoring if less.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions per physician plan of care under supervision of an OT.
• Documents visits according to AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to the team.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness through occupational engagement.
• Identifies community resources/services.
• Recommends follow-up care in coordination with the care center.
• Keeps up with OT trends and care coordination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
