Job summary

Amedisys in Monroe, GA is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled OT interventions under supervision, following the physician-approved plan of care. You will document visits per guidelines, monitor patient progress, and support ADL/IADL needs while promoting wellness and coordinating with the care team.

Requires ACOTE-certified OTA program graduation, current OT license, and NBCOT eligibility, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take NBCOT exam or NBCOT-certified.
• One year OTA experience; mentoring if less than one year may be required.
• CPR certification on file.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under supervision of an OT per plan of care.
• Documents visits according to guidelines for the patient record.
• Observes and reports patient responses and condition changes.
• Provides resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and community resource awareness.
• Makes follow-up care recommendations with the care center.
• Keeps up with OT trends and care coordination.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
