Amedisys is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant for part-time daytime home health visits in the Dayton area. The role provides skilled interventions under an OT plan of care, with responsibilities for documentation and coordination to support patient independence at home.

Ideal candidates hold a state OTA license, ACOTE-accredited education, and NBCOT eligibility, plus CPR certification. Prior OTA experience and strong communication are valued for effective teamwork and patient education.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT entry-level certification eligibility or completed.
• One year of related OTA experience; mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions per plan of care under supervision of an OT.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient response and condition changes to the supervising OT.
• Provide patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness and occupational engagement.
• Stay updated on OT trends and care coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.
