Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home health team in Stockbridge, GA. You will work under an OT, delivering skilled interventions and documenting care per standards.

You will observe patient progress, educate families, and coordinate with center staff to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing care. The role focuses on helping patients heal where they feel most comfortable—at home.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant, specific to the state you are assigned to work.
• Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program, ACOTE-accredited.
• Eligible to take NBCOT entry-level exam for OTAs.
• One year related occupational therapy assistant experience or regional approval with mentoring.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under the direction of an occupational therapist.
• Documents each visit per AOTA and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment and any condition changes.
• Provides resources for future ADL/IADL needs to patients/caregivers.
• Promotes wellness and engagement in daily activities.
• Identifies community resources/services for patient needs.
• Makes follow-up care recommendations with the admitting care center.
• Keeps up-to-date OT trends and care coordination.
