Job summary

The City of Midwest City is seeking a Part-Time Holiday Lights Attendant in the Communications & Marketing Department to help operate the Holiday Lights Spectacular and assist volunteers. This role supports evening, weekend, and holiday hours from November 5 through December 28.

Typical duties include opening/closing lights, handling donations with police escort, coordinating with Public Works for electrical needs, bench testing equipment, and aiding staff in setup and takedown of sound systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of simple electrical procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to relate to the public with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to explain procedures to volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Opens gates nightly by 6:00 p.m. and ensures lights come on on time.
• Monitors Holiday Lights Spectacular operations and assists volunteers.
• Deposits nightly donations with police escort and notifies maintenance as needed.
• Setup and take down sound systems and coordinate with Events Specialist.
