The City of Midwest City is hiring a Part-Time Sign-Street Lighting Inspector & Auditor in the Street Department. You will inspect lighting, audit databases, and support sign inventory management. The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Sign-Street Lighting Inspector & Auditor in the Street Department.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will perform skilled work in the inspection of street and road lighting, you will be responsible for accurate database pertaining to management of community lighting.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Maintains and audits street lighting data bases.
• Early morning or late evening (non-daylight hours) driving audits of street lighting conditions.
• Communicates regularly with electric utility (OG&E) to report and track outages and the repairs.
• May be asked to evaluate night conditions of street signs and pavement markings.
• Prepare basic reports as required.
• Operates a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
• Assist with record keeping, such as work orders, plot map marking, input of data into computer for sign inventory/management, updates street lighting data and other miscellaneous clerical duties.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with building and interpreting spread sheets, map reading and understanding electronic mapping data
