Job summary

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for the Part-Time Sign-Street Lighting Inspector & Auditor in the Street Department. The role performs skilled inspection of street and road lighting and maintains an accurate database for community lighting management.

Primary duties include auditing lighting data, conducting night-time audits, coordinating with OG&E for outages, and preparing basic reports. A high school diploma is required; on-the-job or specialized training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area (e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation).
• Experience building and interpreting spreadsheets and understanding electronic mapping data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and audits street lighting databases.
• Conducts early morning or late evening audits of street lighting conditions.
• Communicates with electric utility to report outages and repairs.
• Evaluates night conditions of street signs and pavement markings as needed.
• Prepares basic reports and performs clerical duties related to sign inventory/management.
