Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC, and Bethesda, MD, seeks a part-time teacher of East Asian or South Asian History in its Upper School for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in History or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred) and teaching experience, preferably at the high school level. Experience teaching global history and the history of East Asia or South Asia is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to inspire and support students and will show a willingness to work collaboratively and independently in an environment committed to Quaker values, academic excellence, equity, justice, service, and students’ social emotional wellness.
