Job summary

Reed City High School is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position supports teachers and students by assisting in classroom activities and providing individual support to students with learning needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; education-related certification preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow teacher direction.
• Patience and empathy to support student learning and development.
• Willingness to learn new educational tools and software; basic tech proficiency acceptable.
• Must pass a background check and meet district requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional plans and classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs or learning challenges.
• Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a safe classroom.
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for lessons.
• Assist with assessment and documentation of student progress.
• Support students during transitions, lunch, and recess.
