Qualifications

• Candidate will have played, competed in, or coached the sport or activity at the high school or college level.
• Candidate will complete all Northfield and MSHSL professional development requirements.
• Candidate will pass a criminal background check.
• Head Coaches must have or be able to obtain a Head Coaching License or appropriate certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams.
• Demonstrate and generate an attitude of sportsmanship and fair play.
• Administer the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the Coaches' Handbook.
• Provide for the health, safety, and well-being of team members.
• Create a culture free from hazing and initiations.

Skills

Coaching experience at high school or college level

Completion of professional development requirements

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Head Coaching License or certification
