Job summary

Northfield Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach at the High School to support the head coach with instruction, training, and game preparation.

This part-time role offers 2-3 hours daily, 5-6 days per week, beginning 4/5/2027; the position is open until filled and requires a background check.

Candidates should have played, competed in, or coached lacrosse at high school or college level and complete professional development requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidate will have played, competed in, or coached the sport at the high school or college level.
• Complete all Northfield and MSHSL professional development requirements.
• Candidate will pass a criminal background check.
• Head Coaches must have or be able to obtain a Head Coaching License or appropriate certification.

Responsibilities

• To assist the head coach in selection, instruction, training, and conditioning of all athletes/teams assigned to him/her by the head coach.
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play by adhering to the Coaches' Code of Ethics.
• Administer policies and guidelines set forth in the Coaches' Handbook, Conference, and policies for your sport and supervise assistant coaches.
• Provide for the health, safety, and well-being of team members.
• Actively work to create a culture free from hazing and initiations.
• Adhere to the starting and ending dates for your sport.
• Be aware of all MSHSL rules that pertain to you and your sport.
