Job summary

Shady Grove Center For Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, families, vendors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced healthcare environment and support administrative tasks across departments.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
• 1 year of administrative or healthcare experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Operate the switchboard and paging system, responding to calls timely and professionally.
• Greet and screen visitors, directing them to the appropriate person or area.
• Maintain accurate records, including census, emergency numbers, extensions, and staff info.
• Handle typing and filing of correspondence and outgoing mail for multiple departments.
• Distribute daily census information to department heads and assist with tasks as needed.
• Manage lunch tickets, order supplies, resident funds, and banking transactions.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality in all tasks.
• Collaborate with the Director of Business Office or Manager to prioritize tasks.
