Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Part-Time Health Information Technology Instructor for FY 2027 at the Charleston Campus. You will teach introductory or advanced medical coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) and medical terminology, develop syllabi, and assess student mastery in on-site or online formats.

The candidate should hold CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA credentials with coding experience; online LMS proficiency (Canvas) is preferred. Classes may occur day or evening, contract-based adjunct role.

Qualifications

• Current CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA credential with 5 years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.
• Instruct introductory or advanced medical coding topics using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT.
• Experience delivering online or hybrid courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct medical coding topics (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) at various levels.
• Develop syllabi and course materials with Program Director.
• Evaluate student mastery and provide actionable feedback.
• Offer day or evening classes, on-campus or online instruction.
