Job summary

CSN is seeking a Part‑Time Health Information Technology Instructor to teach medical coding and terminology. The role involves delivering instruction in ICD‑10‑CM/PCS and CPT, plus developing syllabi and course materials with the Program Director.

Instructors will evaluate student mastery and schedule classes, including online sessions, ensuring timely attendance and outcomes. The position emphasizes both in-class and online instruction with potential for evening offerings and campus-based

Qualifications

• Current CCS or CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA credential required with recent 5 years of inpatient/outpatient medical coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct introductory or advanced medical diagnosis and procedure coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT).
• Teach short course in medical terminology in classroom and/or online.
• Develop syllabi and course materials with the Program Director.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies per course outcomes.
• Schedule day or evening classes, on-campus or online, and meet all classes at the designated time.
