WCTC Corporate Training Center in Wisconsin is seeking qualified instructors to teach Health Information Technology and Medical Coding courses. The position requires delivering instruction in online and virtual hybrid formats and adapting to the district's learning objectives.

Under supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, instructors create active learning environments, assess competencies, and collaborate on curriculum.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Data Analytics, Health Administration, or related field.
• AHIMA or other industry recognized certification preferred.
• Twelve months of occupational experience other than in the educational field for academic subject instructors.
• Twenty-four months of directly related occupational experience; one year within last five years.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable.
• Appropriate technical/occupational licensure where applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Create an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies.
• Develop and deliver online and virtual hybrid courses in Health Information topics.
• Assist with curriculum alignment and assessment of student learning outcomes.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities (include, But Not Limited To)

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements may vary according to the instructional area and position.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Data Analytics, Health Administration, or another related field.
• AHIMA or other industry recognized certification preferred.
• Twelve months of occupational experience other than in the educational field for academic subject instructors.
• Twenty-four months of directly related occupational experience for occupational subject instructors. One year of occupational experience must be within the last five years.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable.
• Appropriate technical/occupational licensure where applicable.

Supplemental Information

Hours and schedule vary based on course assignments and will include evenings.

Teaching assignments will primarily consist of online and virtual hybrid courses.
