Delaware Hospice is seeking a part-time Health Information Specialist in Milford, DE. The role involves clerical and computer support for Inpatient Center staff and quality control of medical records. It requires adherence to federal and state regulations and hospice policies.

The position supports Delaware Hospice’s mission and offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits. The candidate should be able to travel to multiple locations as needed and enjoy a collaborative healthcare

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal training program relevant to this position.
• One year of medical office experience.
• Three or more years of medical office experience may be substituted for formal training.
• Knowledge of ICD 10 coding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all staff.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and accurate.
• Excellent computer skills preferred.
• Must be able to travel to all Delaware Hospice locations as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clerical and computer support to Inpatient Center clinical staff.
• Assume responsibility for quality control of clinical data entered into patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and hospice policies.
