Job summary

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Familiarity with desktop computing tools and software.
• Preferred: Notary Public commission; Associate's degree; Training or education in Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepares health information documents for scanning by adding labeling and indexing.
• Scans prepared documents into the business system.
• Indexes scanned documents in the business system and matches orders to EMR records.
• Reviews electronic medical records for deficiencies and assigns to clinical staff for resolution.
• Evaluates incoming and scanned documents for quality and legibility; collaborates with team to fix deficiencies.
• Completes legal documentation as assigned and facilitates notarization as appropriate.
• Maintains inventory of departmental consumable supplies.
