Must possess basic computer skills and can locate, file and process information.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical records and assigns deficiencies to the responsible practitioner.
Retrieves paper records from hospital locations and ensures receipt of all inpatient/outpatient/ED records.
Processes records into the EMR and indexes documents to the appropriate patient encounter and document name.
Answers phones and provides prompt, courteous customer service to requestors.
Files paper medical records for storage as needed.
