Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Health Information Scanning and Analysis Specialist to prepare and scan health information documents and resolve deficiencies in medical records. The position is open to entry-level applicants and requires a high school diploma and familiarity with desktop computing tools.

Work is onsite as part of the Health Information Management team with a 20-hour work week. You will collaborate with clinical staff to correct discrepancies and maintain EMR integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepares health information documents for scanning with IDs and labels; resolves disparities.
• Scans documents into business system software.
• Indexes scanned documents per criteria; matches orders to EMR records.
• Reviews EMR deficiencies and assigns to clinical staff for resolution.
• Ensures document quality—checks details, legibility, and proper matching; collaborates as needed.
• Completes legal docs, gathers signatures, notarization as appropriate.
• Maintains inventory of departmental consumable supplies.
