Job summary

Sandhills Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor in Electromechanical Systems Technology. Responsibilities include course organization, lab supervision, student assessment, and updating materials to reflect current industry standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Systems, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in electromechanical, industrial, manufacturing, computer hardware, automation, maintenance, or related technical environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned curriculum courses in electromechanical systems, including machine processes, electrical/electronic systems, PLCs and automation.
• Maintain instructional excellence through organization, delivery, and assessment.
• Develop and update course materials reflecting industry standards.
• Utilize hands-on lab activities to support student learning.
• Maintain accurate student records (attendance, grades, communication).
• Support implementation and delivery of Electromechanical Systems pathways.
• Assist in course planning and lab safety compliance.
• Engage with industry to support work-based learning and employer engagement.
• Participate in department and college activities.
