Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Electromechanical Instrumentation in credit courses, working with the Director of Advanced and Industrial Technology and other college staff to deliver lab-based instruction.

The position is part-time and may be taught on campus or online as needed, with opportunities at Bethlehem, PA or Monroe campus in Tannersville, PA, and the responsibility to prepare labs and maintain safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of industry experience required.
• Teaching or training experience preferred.
• Some formal education or training strongly desired.
• College teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach processes and safety for assigned classes, including lab safety, lab cleanup, and material preparation.
• Deliver courses on or off-campus as needed; participate in curriculum development and alignment with program goals.
• Advertise and maintain a safe, productive lab environment; ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Support student learning and equity, and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Coordinate with the department to schedule classes and labs; may include campus locations in Bethlehem, PA or Monroe campus in Tannersville, PA, and/or online offerings.
