Job summary

YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a part-time Gym Monitor to oversee gymnasium services, with weeknight and weekend availability. This role emphasizes member relations, safety, and smooth setup for events.

Responsibilities include maintenance, inventory, and assisting with rental setups, while providing surveillance during activities and helping staff and members have a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Service oriented, role model with a member-first attitude.
• Able to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Able to use a computer, telephone and related business equipment.
• Effective communication with others.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall gymnasium services and assist with events.
• Maintain gym equipment inventory and assist with setup/breakdown.
• Provide surveillance during games, activities, and member participation.
• Facilitate seating and setup for gym rental as needed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
