Job summary

Mid lothian Family YMCA is seeking part-time gym monitors to oversee gymnasium services and events. Pay ranges from $13 to $15 per hour, with weeknights 5:00–9:00 PM and weekend 1:00–5:00 PM availability preferred.

The role emphasizes maintaining safety, equipment inventory, event setup/breakdown, and positive interactions with members and staff in a friendly, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be service oriented with a member-first attitude.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Proficient in using a computer, telephone and related equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gymnasium services and related activities.
• Handle gym setup, breakdown, and equipment inventory for events.
• Provide supervision and ensure safety during games and member participation.
• Facilitate seating and setup for gym rentals as needed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
