Job summary

Free People in Wayland, MA is seeking a friendly Host for a part-time 10:00 AM–2:00 PM shift, five days a week, with no nights or early mornings. You will greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate with service teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, assisting with reservations and waitlists (OpenTable), quoting wait times, and communicating guest preferences to servers and kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hosting or customer service experience preferred.
• Confident communicator and calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar systems.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Assist with reservations and waitlists using OpenTable and manage table pacing.
• Relay guest preferences, celebrations, and allergies to servers and kitchen.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and assist with setup, resets, and policies.
• Serve as liaison between front- and back-of-house teams and participate in pre-shift meetings.
