Job summary

Gwcca at Savannah Convention Center is seeking a part-time Guest Services Specialist to warmly welcome guests, provide information about events and local amenities, and support smooth operations during events.

The role requires flexible availability, good communication, and a customer-service mindset. This on-site position may involve standing for long periods and assisting in various guest-service tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in hospitality industry or pursuing degree in hospitality or related field
• Able to work flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and at least 16 hours per month
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods; comfortable with stairs
• Proficient with computers and iPad usage; good oral and written communication; multilingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warm, genuine welcome and bid farewell
• Exemplify SCC core values in every interaction
• Assist guests with directions and escort when needed
• Inform guests about SCC services and downtown amenities
• Anticipate and address guest needs to exceed expectations
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; operate two-way radios when needed
• Serve as usher, greeter, and/or ticket taker for events
• Report any policy violations to supervisor and assist in emergencies
