Job summary

The City of Cocoa Beach is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Assistant to support landscaping, mowing, trimming, and turf care at beachside parks and city properties. You will assist with herbicide and pesticide applications, debris removal, and setup for special events, reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.

A high school diploma and valid Florida driver's license are required, with 1–2 years' related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–2 years of ground maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscape maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, applying herbicides and pesticides.
• Prepares and maintains grounds; grading and basic landscaping on City property.
• Interact with city staff and the public in a positive, professional manner.
