Job summary

The City of Cocoa Beach is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Technician to assist with lawn care, landscaping, and cleanup of city grounds and parks. Work hours are 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential for special events.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, applying herbicides when needed, trash pickup, and assisting in emergency operations as required; must have a Florida driver's license and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of ground maintenance experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, spraying herbicides and pesticides, and spreading grass seed and fertilizer.
• Polish grounds and remove debris in assigned areas.
• Prepare and maintain city grounds, including grading and general landscaping functions.
