Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College is seeking a Grants Development Specialist to support faculty and development teams in pursuing funds to support new and improved programs and services at the college.

You will research funding opportunities, manage pre-award to post-award transitions with the Grants Administration Team, and lead proposal development including budgets and compliance. A Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; related fields preferred.
1-3 years of experience in proposal preparation, grant development, budgeting, and compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Research funding opportunities, analyze funding agency requirements, and anticipate the College's competitive position and response to priorities.
Serve as a project manager by facilitating meetings with faculty and staff, establishing timelines, and assigning tasks.
Lead the development of grant proposals, including content, edits, and budgets, ensuring compliance with policies and funding agency requirements.
Transition projects from pre-award to post-award, coordinating with Grants Administration Team.
Track development activity and provide periodic reports on grant development.
Assist with training for faculty and staff and research best practices.
