Job summary

GI Alliance's Austin Gastro practice in Austin, Texas, seeks a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to deliver outpatient care under direct physician supervision. The role is dedicated to one physician, typically 8am–5pm, with mutually agreed days based on availability.

You will see new and follow-up patients, perform histories and physicals, order labs, counsel families, and participate in credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• TX State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
• Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
• Comfortable working in a busy and thriving practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician.
• Dedicated to one physician.
• Seeing both new patients and follow-up patients, approximately 12 patients per full clinic day.
• Complete patient histories and physicals.
• Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests.
• Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
• Participate in credentialing requirements at assigned medical facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
