HealthDrive Corporation seeks a part-time Nurse Practitioner to manage primary, post-acute, and preventive care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care facilities in Mount Airy, MD. You will diagnose, treat, and coordinate care, collaborating with on-site staff and administrators.

The role emphasizes independent practice within a supportive medical team, with a 3-day workweek and a comprehensive training program to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• State NP license required and active.
• Board Certification required for NP practice.
• DEA/Controlled Substances license required.
• Valid driver’s license for commuting to facilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with on-site staff.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient with email and healthcare software tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, post-acute and preventive care for residents in sub-acute and long-term care units.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood work, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses and propose treatments.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and schedules.
• Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Oversee patients’ overall health and care plans.
