Qualifications

• Proficiency in arts/crafts and music is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; geriatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients unable or uninterested in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
• Use reasoning and good judgment.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
