Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency is seeking a Part-Time Adult Education Instructor to deliver GED preparation mathematics to adult learners in North Providence, RI. Classes are in person with rolling enrollment, and the role supports the GED Math/Numeracy curriculum.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, you will plan lessons, assess progress, maintain records, and provide engaging numeracy instruction to diverse learners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; RI Teacher Certification preferred.
Minimum three years of experience in education.
Rolling enrollment environment experience is a plus.
Experience with adult learners and GED preparation is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging numeracy instruction aligned with GED requirements.
Develop lesson plans for diverse adult learners.
Conduct assessments and track student progress.
Maintain attendance, records, and reports to leadership.
Utilize online resources and distance learning as appropriate.
Support successful transitions to post-secondary education or employment.
