AHRC New York City seeks an Academic Instructor for Youth Workforce Development (Staten Island) to lead GED prep in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
You will deliver trauma-informed, student-centered instruction to 17–24-year-olds, develop learning plans, and monitor progress in a 35-hour on-site schedule (Mon–Fri 8:30am–4:30pm).

AHRC New York City is seeking a Full-time Youth Workforce Development Academic Instructor for their Advance & Earn program. The Advance & Earn Academic Instructorsupports young adults ages 17–24 by providing engaging, student-centered instruction in preparation for the GED exam leading to attainment of a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma. The instructor delivers contextualized academic lessons in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies, with a focus on helping participants develop both the academic skills and confidence necessary to succeed. This role plays a key part in supporting young people who are out of school and out of work to advance toward meaningful educational and career pathways.
Compensation Package: $55,000 per year plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.
Schedule (in-person); Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (35 hrs./wk.).
This is a full-time 35-hour position based on-site. The role may require rare evening or weekend hours depending on program needs (events etc.)
