Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer at the front desk of a financial institution in Hackensack, NJ. You will greet visitors, control access, and provide excellent customer service while following site procedures and safety policies.

This role requires at least one year of security experience, with a preference for a state or local security license, and includes a background check and drug screen where permitted by law. 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience or more.
• State/city security license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles when applicable.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors at the front desk of a financial institution and uphold site procedures.
• Monitor access, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
• Answer calls, provide directions, and share information professionally.
• Observe lobby activity and monitor access-control systems and cameras; report concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies, coordinating with emergency services as needed.
