Job summary

Allied Universal in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at a commercial real estate front desk to greet visitors, manage access control, and provide outstanding customer service.

The role includes monitoring lobby activity, handling visitor passes, responding to incidents, and coordinating with tenants and vendors; requires 6 months security experience and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the building, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes as authorized, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and building information, and communicate professionally with tenants, property management, and service providers.
• Monitor lobby activity and building access points to help deter unauthorized entry and report unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
