Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer at the Visitor Identity Desk in Santa Monica, CA. You will welcome visitors, control access, issue badges, monitor entry activity, and deliver excellent customer service to tenants and clients in a commercial real estate setting.

The role includes maintaining logs, responding to incidents, and supporting a secure, orderly lobby under a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the property by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests according to site policies.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, package, and key-control logs, and communicate relevant information to building management and authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established security-related procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly lobby environment and help to deter unauthorized access through professional presence and attentive front-desk coverage.
