Job summary

Allied Universal in Weehawken, NJ is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Visitor Arrival Verification at a commercial property. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, issue credentials, and maintain logs while representing a professional, customer-focused security presence.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor access points, lobby activity, and security-related systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Support front desk operations by answering phones, providing directions, receiving deliveries, and communicating professionally with building management, tenants, and visitors.
