Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Security Officer in New York, NY. You will greet visitors, monitor access, and support tenants while maintaining a welcoming, safe environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling, including Tue/Wed overnights and Sat evenings, with a pay rate of $22.05–$23.05 per hour. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the building, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes as authorized, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Receive and direct guests, answer phones, provide building information, and communicate professionally with property management and onsite personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor front desk activity and security-related systems as assigned, report unusual activity or maintenance concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access.
