Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a Residential Building in Flushing, NY. This flexible role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Pay rate starts at $19.50 to $20.50 per hour, with a schedule that includes daytime night hours. You will staff the front desk, greet residents and visitors, monitor access, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner

Qualifications

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Guard card or license preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required by law.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
Drug screen required.
Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
Staff the front desk, greet residents, visitors, and vendors, and maintain a professional presence.
Monitor access to the location and verify visitor authorization.
Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
Monitor front-desk communications and document security concerns to site leadership.
